Воспоминания
Maurice YEWAH Retired University Teacher, C.P.C. Class of '62 May 30, 2013

Dear Prof., Monsieur le Doyen, Mr. Life President,

I can remember those late nights in your offfice preceding the Entrance Examinations into the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, when we had to verify the content of the questions in French and English to be sure that all the candidates had the same chances at the said examinations;

I can remember when, on any visit to your office, you would not let your "Big" spend any time waiting in the waitin room, unless
you had other visitors with whom you were discussing;

I can remember those many occasions when you opened the doors of your Ngousso home to BOBANS individually or as a group during the numerous Chapter Meetings that you hosted, and some of the fun that you distilled with your voice that was never raised;

I remember the reception you gave me when I came from UdM in Bangangte to visit with you some three years back, when I learned from Prof. Samuel Fanso-Free then serving at the Cameroon Christian University in Bali, that you had been seriously ill, but had returned after your evacuation; I remember how you tried to reassure me on your health when expressed my concern about the amount of weight your had lost. You were simply play your role as the fine and refined Medical Doctor that you were, in not alarming dear and loved ones about the real situation of their patient.

I remember the Deacon and later Usher at P.C. Bastos, trying to move as discretely as possible, to serve his Lord and God by serving His people, with that special smile that never left his face;

These are just a few snap shots of the interactions and memories that I will continue to cherish of a relationship that started almost 41 years ago when you entered CUSS.

Our prayer in the family is that his example of humility, simplicity and service will continue to inspire all who knew and were contaminated by this exceptional intellectual and child of God, and spur them on to serve their fellow men and women as he did to the very end.

Professor Peter Ndumbe.

A rare find!
I was priviledged to know a man soo learned
So hansome and intelligent,
Yet so simple, humble and warm!!
"He wears a smile of humbleness, that masks a face of true greatness"
These  are the memories I have of you Prof.
I shall treasure them and learn from it.

Go ahead, and God bless your soul.
Mercy Bekondo Akpo-Esambe Tribute to Professor Ndumbe Peter May 29, 2013

Peter,

I never saw you again after our "hay" days in Yaounde, and CUSS.  What a shook to hear that you were sick and you never made it back to this life.  You were a wonderful and loving person.  What a blessing to have known you and the time you spent serving others. The Lord knows better and he loves you more.  Rest in peace.

As I struggle to deal with the shock,the pain,the body blow,the surreal news of your sudden,unfair,unecessary,disorganized(unlike you),heartbreaking departure from your world which you shared so fondly with thousands of us worldwide,you made us feel like royalty in your world,your world seemed like an endless fiesta...until that Tuesday when the music stopped and the lights went out...BUT I find some comfort knowing that you lived your life,you gave your life,you shared your life,you enjoyed your life,you dedicated your life to God. We thank God for this generous precious gift of a man named Peter Ndumbe that had such an impact personally,professionally,educationally amd ofcourse socially. Your unique sense of humour,great work ethic,caring and giving personality will not only be missed but has set a solid example for many to follow.There is not enough paper to document the countless benefits of being your small brother,your friend. I cry when I think of how hard you worked so others can have.I cry when I think of how much better Bota,Limbe,Fako,SouthWest would have been if you had the chance to retire and watch your dreams come true. I cry when I realize Bota,Limbe, is going to be without Mr Action.I cry when I see how much lonlier life has become without my friend,my brother,my mentor.I cry when I realize there is no substitute,no replacement,no duplicate for Peter Ndumbe.I cry when for all you have done for me I could not even say ashia,thank you or waka fine.I cry because I could not even hear your voice one last time as you embarked on your journey. I cry because I know how much you cried when your loved ones departed.But as we depend on God for strength in these sad times,we must now celebrate your very successful life and learn from your many principles.You were abundantly blessed because you blessed so many,Thank you for your love. You are in a better place now,in the presence of our Lord you served so much. I trust that you will find rest in his presence as he knows your name, as he welcomes you home.We respect his will,we give him thanks even for your departure.Your light will shine forver here on earth as we will meet again ...in his time.Thank you Peter.

FOR WOM (B) MAN

Once upon a time there was a brother/ and he had to build a tomb man

for the man who went too soon man /and he ached and as he built, he almost hoped there was more room man in that tomb man / i heard it in his voice

cause he loved the man for whom he built the tomb man

the gone too soon man….

(pause)

once upon a time there was a room man

when the man was young- he was there to help pull a girl out of a womb man

he was her womb man

the gone to soon man

once upon a time there was a wo-man she looked up and saw a child come out her womb man

pulled by the tomb man who was that day a womb man

and the man who went too soon man/ he touched them all when he would move dammmmn

he never sat except to groom man and he was off to speak in rooms man

he was a true man/ before a tomb man

so on the day he left the groove man he shook the room and

the girl he pulled man and the brother he grew man

and the wo-man

who's womb he pulled and ...sat with the girl who was now a wo-man

and they cried across the globe.

So nothing rhymes with that.

and so

and so

and so

tomb man

womb man

true man

too soon man

who was loved by all he knew man

shook the room man ,now watch he  will amaze the moon man and grace the stars and become the love that may one day allow the cycle of love

that gets another life to be pulled out of A WOMB MAN

now that I AM WOM-MAN-AND (SO)
