Some pieces look shiny online but feel like plastic when you open the package. cheap frames can look nice at first but bend easily or become loose after a few weeks. i recently tried a few different online shops and wanted to share my experience. in the past i have wasted money on items that looked good in photos but felt cheap in real life.
if anyone is interested in real user experiences, i sometimes write short notes about the shops i test.

comfort around the heel and toes is more important than super fancy design. that is why i sometimes leave comments myself when i test a new shop or product. i try to look for real photos of the insoles and soles, not only the outside of the shoe. many people do not mind waiting if they understand what is going on. i try to balance my budget between basic everyday items and a few special pieces. of course we all have different taste, but patterns still appear in long discussions. some care only about style, others focus on comfort and durability. if a website gives a detailed guide for measurements, i feel more confident when ordering.
maybe this is useful for someone.
